Sydney based sculpture artist Suzie Idiens approached us in late 2017 for assistance on a new work.
The work consisted of a range of coloured MDF laminates with a black core, being CNC machined to assemble several different shapes and forms. The shapes were split into individual pieces which were modelled to include the correct angle on each mating face.
The boxes were all machined as sheets with internal mitres which gave the box clean black join lines. Careful effort was made to ensure clean flawless surfaces on every component of the work. Suzie then had the task of gluing hand finishing all the sculptures for installation.
